ABOUT SAFETYNET PRIMARY CARE
Safetynet Primary Care is a medical charity that delivers quality care
to those marginalized in society without access to healthcare,
including homeless people, drug users and migrants. We also facilitate
a network of health services working with homeless people’s care to
ensure a coordinated approach and promote best practice.
FULL TIME CLINICAL NURSE MANAGER 1
(MOBILE HEALTH AND SCREENING UNIT)
_DUBLIN BASED (NATIONWIDE TRAVEL INCLUDED)_
This established role leads the assessment and screening of vulnerable
cohorts. The role is a mix of direct provision of nurse led
assessments, follow up and operational planning and service
organisation.
The MHSU is part of the Migrant Health Team. The overall purpose of
the MHSU service is to provide safe, timely, nurse-led Infectious
Disease Screening and brief assessment to vulnerable cohorts including
vulnerable migrants and persons experiencing homelessness. This is a
national service delivered throughout Ireland by means of a vehicle
specifically designed and equipped with X-ray and consultation room.
The team includes GPs, Nurses, a Radiographer, Clinic Manager and
Driver.
THIS ROLE REQUIRES A PASSION FOR DELIVERING HEALTH CARE TO VULNERABLE
PEOPLE INCLUDING THOSE EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS, ADDICTION OR FORCED
MIGRATION. EXCELLENT INTER-PERSONAL SKILLS AND ABILITY TO WORK WITHIN
A TEAM AND INDEPENDENTLY ARE ESSENTIAL.
